3 Steps to Less Stress, More Balance, Greater Purpose

Stress and overwhelm is rampant these days. 
1 in 3 Americans are clinically obese. 7 out of 10 of us have less than $1,000 saved for an emergency. 53% of marriages end in divorce. 
55-70% hate their jobs. Faith has been removed from EVERYthing. 
And what we CRAVE is LESS Stress. MORE Balance. GREATER Purpose. 
Am I right?
Well...there is a framework – a process – to help us find it. It’s called Oola. 
Let’s define "Oola" and then talk about what the 3 main steps are in living the life you know that God designed you for.

What is Oola?

Well...it's short for "oolala" of course!

Oo´• la \ n. adj. \ 1 a : a state of awesomeness b : a life that is balanced and growing in all of the key areas of health, finances, career, relationships, and well-being c : a destination (i.e., getting to Oola) 2 a : describing actions, insights and goals that lead to a balanced life (ex: That’s so Oola.) 3 a : the ultimate plan for achieving balance in an unbalanced world.



Step 1 to YOUR Oola Life:

GET REAL AND HONEST ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE NOW

       …in the 7 key areas of your life...
Fitness, Finance, Family, Field (your career), Faith, Friends and Fun.

Ever notice that when you turn to your smart phone to find a destination for you, it FIRST automatically locates where you are right now? It can't direct you to where you want to go unless it knows your current location, right? 
Well….the same is true for changing any aspect of your life.

Once you complete the OolaWheel, you will know exactly where you are in the 7 key areas of life, where you are out of balance, and have a good idea about where your stress or lack of purpose may be coming from.


Step 2 to YOUR Oola Life:

DECIDE WHERE YOU WANT TO GO 

           ...in every key area of life.
Set goals that are milestones to your dreams. It's your OolaPlan. 
The OolaLife doesn't just happen - and it doesn't happen overnight.  
Creating balance takes effort to clear away the chaos and establish new ways of being. Your goals should be “S.M.A.R.T.” - Specific, Measurable,  Accountable, Realistic. and Time-Based. You may find that you have a LOT of work to do in order to find balance. Pick a goal….Your ONE goal that, once accomplished, will change EVERYTHING. 




Step 3 to YOUR Oola Life:

COMMIT TO TAKING STEPS EVERY SINGLE DAY 

          ...to move you toward your “Oola Life”. 
Just think about this…If you take 3 steps a day towards your ONE goal, you will take over 1,000 steps per year!  1,000 steps! You can’t possible be in the same place as you are today, can you?
How are you going to take action every day? 
YOU are designed for greatness and a purpose! 
TODAY is the day you take your first step. 
TODAY is the day you make your first choice to change where you are in life!
