Why does life seem so overwhelming?
We set goals and have good intentions, but there never seems to be enough time, money or energy for achieving life’s biggest goals. Instead of making progress, our lives seem even more out of balance.
Sound familiar?
Well, for the next few weeks, I’d like to help you overcome the overwhelm and work on achieving balance in every major life category.
How will we do that?
Using a strategy I learned from Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl, authors of the bestselling book, Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World: identify where you’re out of balance, then jot down three tasks a day that will move you toward balance in that area (or areas) of your life.
Here’s an example:
If your finances are a mess and credit card debt is causing you extra stress, your to-do list might look like this:
1. Make a list of all debts in order of total amount due
2. Make an extra payment (today) on the smallest debt while still making minimum payments on the others
3. Research ways to make extra money to pay off all debt
START TODAY: IDENTIFY WHERE YOU ARE OUT OF BALANCE
You CAN overcome the overwhelm.
To start, identify your biggest stressor in each of “The 7 F’s of Oola” (below).
Write down your list in a journal or on your smartphone, so you can refer back to it.
Are you out of balance in:
Fitness: Excess weight? Poor nutrition? Minimal exercise?
Finance: Crushing debt? No retirement plan? Too much month at the end of the money?
Family: Need to set some boundaries? Marriage on life support?
Field: Career stress? Low pay or benefits? Unfulfilled?
Faith: No real relationship with God? Need a daily practice?
Friends: Toxic friends that bring you down? Need mentors?
Fun: No time for fun? Waiting until you’re older or retired?
Whatever is stressing you, let’s work together to completely transform your life into one of balance, growth and purpose.
I’ve joined forces with Dave and Troy to bring my followers the Oola formula via a 10-week coaching experience designed to transform your life, your finances, your relationships and more.

I’m here to help 2021 be a breakthrough year for you!
For countless people, December is a month for celebrating and focusing on family, friends and what’s truly important.
It’s a month for great food and fun times . . . and giving gifts.
But before you get out the wrapping paper and ribbon, why not inventory your accomplishments over the past year and recommit to the things you wish you’d done?
It’s time to take a serious look at 2020 and wrap it up!
If you’ve been following my posts over the last several months, you know that I am passionate about creating balance and lowering stress in 7 major areas of life. It’s something I learned from “The OolaGuys”—Dave Braun and Troy Amdahl, authors of the international bestselling book Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World.
They recommend (and I do, too) taking inventory to see where you’re at right now – and determine how you’ll get to where you want to be.
So which loose ends do you need to “wrap up” before the end of 2020?
And what do you need to do in 2021 to live the life you really want?
Here are some examples of "Incompletes" from 2020 that may need some wrapping up:
Fitness: Health condition(s) that needs to be handled?
Finance: Overwhelming debt that needs to be paid off (or down)?
Family: Crucial conversations you need to have?
Field: That talk with management about a promotion?
Faith: That Bible study guide you bought months ago?
Friends: Catch up calls to friends who’ve drifted away?
Fun: Travel photos framed or put in a Shutterfly book?
Whatever you need to wrap up this year, why not spend December focusing on it?
And while you’re busy completing those “incompletes”, why not dream a little about the life you want to create in 2021?
Whatever your plans for next year, I can help you stay focused on them.
In fact, I’ve joined forces with The OolaGuys to bring my followers the proven Oola formula via a
10-week coaching experience designed to transform your life, your finances, your relationships and more.

I’m here to help 2021 be a breakthrough year for you!
When was the last time you had some fun?
While the past several months have been exhausting for many people, you can make 2021 a better year by adding some everyday fun, hobbies, unique interests—and even “bucket list” adventures you’ve dreamed of your entire life.
“Fun” is one of The 7 F’s of Oola, and today we’re going to talk about how much fun you have in your life (or how much you need to add in order to create a life that’s happy and balanced).
If you’ve been following my posts over the past month, you know that—right now—you have a unique opportunity to make 2021 better than the crazy year we’ve just been through.
If 2020 has caused you to re-think your lifestyle, your finances, your health, your relationships and your future, we should jump on a call to discuss exactly what you want 2021 to look like! It’s what I help clients with, and it would be my honor to work with you, too.

For now, let’s see how much fun you’re having in your life—and decide whether you need to add more.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the amount of fun you have in your life?
If you answer “1,” that means low/bad/least true, while answering “10” means “high/good/most true”:
• I would rate my fun in life................... ____
• I enjoy and am having fun in life......... ____
• I try new things often.......................... ____
• I invest time pursuing my passion or hobby ____
• I have fun outside of work at least 3x per week ____
• I do at least one “bucket list” item each year ____
• I am a fun person to be around........... ____
• Fun rarely interferes with my responsibilities ____
• People would say that I’m a fun person ____
• I easily find free fun in simple everyday life ____
Coaching can help you rediscover fun hobbies, unique interests, and even your true passion in life . . . a major stepping stone on the way to living the OolaLife.

Friends. We couldn’t have gotten through this year without them.
If the past several months have made you really value friendships and connection, I have a question:
What would your life look like if your closest friendships were even more solid and supportive?
And what if you added some key friendships, like mentors, who could guide you in making difficult life or career decisions?
Friends just make life better.
In fact, “Friends” is one of The 7 F’s of Oola—the proven formula created by Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl, authors of Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World. We’ve teamed up to bring my followers the
10-week Oola Coaching Program to help you make goals, stay focused and achieve the happy, balanced and growing life you want – AND deserve.
But let’s take a look at your current friendships.
Where do you need to improve?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your friendships?

I’ll be your biggest cheerleader and most supportive guide
to help 2021 be a breakthrough year for you!
For many people, 2020 tested their belief, their faith, and their daily walk with God.
Have you noticed?
It always seems that we look for answers or support whenever there’s a major upheaval in our lives . . .
and, so far, this year has brought plenty of that. Right?!?
As part of my continuing month-long series, I’ve been introducing you to a series of self-assessments that Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl—The OolaGuys—use in the popular 10-week coaching program we conduct together.
Now I’d like to share another one with you about your faith.
“Faith” is one of The 7 F’s of Oola—those major life areas that all our problems, happiness, improvement and challenges seem to fall into.
Is your faith strong? Or could it be stronger?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your faith?
If you answer “1,” that means low/bad/least true, while answering “10” means “high/good/most true”:
• I would rate my faith............................ ____
• I feel connected to a higher purpose.... ____
• I am plugged into a faith community and
.. continue to learn/grow......................... ____
• I spend at least 20 minutes a day
.. in meditation and/or prayer................. ____
• My beliefs and the way I live my life
.. are congruent....................................... ____
• I use my faith to help resolve conflict
.. and issues in my life.............................. ____
• I reflect on my faith often throughout the day ____
• I forgive easily....................................... ____
• I rely on my faith to guide my choices
.. and my decisions.................................. ____
• I feel comfortable sharing and
.. teaching my faith to others.................. ____
While The OolaGuys don’t tell you what to believe or which religion to follow (and neither do I), we DO know that having a strong faith is a critical part of a grounded, balanced and happy life.
