WISDOM. Accelerate your success with smart decisions.

“You win some, you learn some.”
This is one of my favorite quotes. It comes from singer/songwriter: Jason Mraz

When we’re in action, learning new skills and taking risks, some of the best lessons we learn are from our mistakes and our losses.

When we push past the loss and learn from the experience, we achieve true wisdom.
We realize that loss doesn’t define us; it’s just part of the journey.

We’re all going to make mistakes. That's just life.
The important thing is to learn from them and not repeat the same mistakes over and over.

Of course, learning lessons doesn’t always have to be a struggle.

We can also gain wisdom from the fun times in life.

For instance, if we want to know what authentic Italian food tastes like, we can go to Italy and find out.
Or..
If we want to learn firsthand about the amazing culture of London, we don’t have to read about it in a book; there’s an option to take a trip to London and explore it for ourselves.

It’s very cool to gain wisdom through life experiences.

But there’s another way that wisdom comes to us as we work on our goals: through mentors and advisors we seek out.
Following or, if possible, befriending people who have already been successful in an area you want to pursue is invaluable. Luckily, there are all kinds of people who are wise in any area you’re working on.

Adding mentors to your life, and nurturing those relationships, is a strategy that will get you to your goals faster—by learning through their experiences and expertise.

And, don’t ever forget to take the time to simply get quiet and listen intently to that still, small voice within YOU.
I know that, for me, some of the decisions I’ve made in my life that turned out badly, were decisions that I KNEW in my heart I shouldn’t be making.

Check in with your gut and your heart, not just your head.

So now, let me ask a question:

Do you think YOU could amplify your life and gain wisdom through your own experience, intuition AND the experience of others?

Coaching people in working on life changes is something I do through a unique coaching program designed around the bestselling book and lifestyle framework: Oola.
More than 20 years ago, two holistic physicians—Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl—created Oola to help people establish new habits, practice new ways of living, and take those daily action steps that are key to bringing life into balance (then keeping it that way).

I became an Oola Certified Life Coach to help others achieve this same balance and start creating an even better future.

SET GOALS. Create your dream life one step at a time.

Listen Up!

YOU are smart, successful, beautiful and accomplished.

YOU are capable, lovable, talented, and interesting.

In fact, your life has SO MUCH potential!

One way to achieve that potential is to keep powerful goals in front of you.

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been talking about decluttering your life, clarifying your unique life purpose, and getting prepared to pursue it.

Now....this is where the rubber meets the road: it’s time to set goals and assign daily tasks that are the stepping stones to achieving the extraordinary life that’s waiting for you.

One goalsetting strategy that I learned from human-potential experts Dave Braun and Troy Amdahl—authors of the bestselling book, Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World—is to set 21 goals, then narrow those to 7 goals you can truly focus on.
When you do decide on those 7, you can further narrow your list to the one goal that will literally transform and amplify your life once you achieve it.

It might be:

• Go back to school and get an advanced degree
• Land your dream job or start your dream business
• Lose 50 pounds or otherwise up-level your health
• Meet your soulmate and start a new life as a couple
• Retire early and travel the world as a blogger

What’s the single most powerful goal that will move your life forward?

What’s the ONE goal that’s worth pursuing with all the passion that’s in your heart?

The fact is that your dream life is waiting for you on the other side of your goals.
As a Certified Oola Life Coach, I work with individuals to create goals that matter, then pursue them intentionally and efficiently until they are achieved.

In fact, I’ve teamed up with Dave and Troy to bring you the Oola Coaching Program designed to help you bring balance and set goals in all 7 major life areas: Fitness, Finance, Family, Field, Faith, Friends and Fun.
Not only does bringing balance lower your stress, it also frees your mind to achieve the dream life you really want.

CLARIFY. Find your special calling and unique life purpose.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been posting about decluttering your life and making space for something new.

But have you thought about what “new” means for you?

Inside all of us is a life purpose . . . a reason you were put on this Earth.

There’s a unique calling on your life that requires your attention.
And while most people float through their day unaware of the bigger picture, the truth is that you are here to be, do and have a life that’s exceptional.

Clarifying what that exceptional purpose is—then organizing your lifestyle to bring about this dream future—is what will transform your life into an awesome journey.

But how do you know what your life purpose is?

Try answering these questions:

• What inspires you to wake up and tackle your day?

• What career is so much fun you’d do it for free?

• What activity calls to you and gives you joy?

Dig deep. The answers ARE within you. The overwhelm and stress of life has just pushed them down so far that you may have lost sight of them.

Whatever your big vision is, write it down.

Then answer one more question:

• What is one thing you could do today to start pursuing that vision?

Of course, if you could use some help clarifying your unique life purpose, then get support and accountability in making serious lifestyle changes in order to pursue it, I have good news.
I’ve teamed up with Oola authors Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl to bring you a 10-week focused approach to creating a life that’s balanced, growing, and purposeful.

Don't just dream about the ideal life you want.

Start living it with Oola Coaching

DECLUTTER. Create space and eliminate what’s holding you back.

“Get rid of clutter and you may just find it was blocking the door you’ve been looking for.”
I love this quote from author Katrina Mayer. It reminds me that, if we don’t continually tend to our environment and time commitments, then clutter builds, emails overwhelm, workspaces can become unrecognizable, and our calendar soon exhausts us.
We don’t feel like we have time to do anything productive, so we end up immobilized—doing nothing, instead of working on our goals.

If this describes your life, the key is to create space for something new, while focusing on positive, long-term goals.
It's kinda like updating your living room furniture. You need to remove the old couch before you bring in the new one; otherwise, there isn't enough space. Right?

If the past year has been a blur of too much stress, too many time bandits stealing your future, and an overall feeling that you can’t escape the clutter that’s impacting your day-to-day life, why not start working on creating a life that’s balanced, growing and purposeful instead?

It’s time to strip away the clutter of everyday life and truly live the authentic desires of your heart as if nothing else matters.

More than 20 years ago, two holistic physicians—Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl—created Oola to help people establish new habits, practice new ways of living, and take those daily action steps that are key to bringing life into balance (then keeping it that way).

Today, “The OolaGuys” are founders of Oola Coaching with countless successful clients around the world.

I discovered for myself that the Oola framework helps calm the chaos and bring balance to major areas of life, including fitness, finances, family, career, and more.
I became a Certified Oola Life Coach to help others achieve this same balance and start creating an even better future.

Shouldn’t we talk about where YOU want to go in life?

SIMPLIFY. Find Balance in an Unbalanced World

It’s all too easy to overcomplicate our lives with too many commitments, too much financial stress, and not enough downtime.  Have you noticed that?

We fill our days with activities and priorities that don’t really contribute to the ultimate dream life we want to create.
So, in a way, these complications are actually robbing us of our future.

What’s the solution?
Simplify.

If you’ve been following my posts, you know that I am passionate about equipping and empowering  my client to de-stress her day, calm the overall chaos, and get what she wants in the 7 major areas of life.
It’s something I learned from Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl—The OolaGuys—who teach how to create balance in our unbalanced world.

As an Oola Certified Life Coach, I help clients address what’s not working for them in the areas of fitness, finance, family, field (career), faith, friends and fun. Then we go to work correcting those stressors and bringing about the lifestyle, relationships and financial security they need to be happy, balanced and growing.

So what could your Oola lifestyle look like once you simplify?

To begin, could you:

Fitness: Trade that TV show for a walk after dinner?

Finance: List your debts and pay off the smallest ones?

Family: Establish a “no-electronics-on-Sundays” policy?

Field: Streamline the stressful parts of your job?

Faith: Trade social media time for meditation/prayer time?

Friends: Distance yourself from toxic friends?

Fun: Seek out local after-work activities you enjoy?

Over commitment and stress has no place in your amazing life.
So whatever’s stressing you, make your list, then let’s talk about how you can simplify before working on bringing about your dream life.

Of course, the 7 areas above come from The OolaGuys. If you’ve been following my past posts, you know that I’ve joined forces with Dave and Troy to bring my followers the Oola Framework via a 10-week, one-on-one coaching experience designed to transform your life, your finances, your relationships and more.
