Did you see my last post about choosing one breakthrough goal in 2021 – a goal that would impact every area of your life?
(If you did choose a goal, and you can reveal it publicly, I invite you to drop it into the comment section and share!)
Sometimes big goals, like your OolaOne goal, seem scary and unattainable, right?
So, the Oola Guys – Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl, authors of the book Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World – recommend a handy tool that helps you take small steps toward your goal every day. Ready???
It's simply a 3x5 card.
Yep.
The humble little 3x5 card.
Grab a 3x5 card now and divide it in half (by drawing a vertical line down the center).
List the things you need to accomplish for work on one half—and the things you need to accomplish at home on the other.
Whatever is important today, write it down.
When you’re finished writing, your list may surprise you.
If you find your card is filled with tasks, errands and calls that don’t really move you any closer to your biggest life goal, it’s time to reassess your priorities.
For example, if your goal is to be 100% debt-free, could you do one thing every day toward eliminating your debt?
Instead of writing down “Order that necklace for Tanya’s birthday,” your 3x5 card might read: “List outstanding bills in a spreadsheet.”
Instead of “Start new car shopping,” your card could read “Move $100 from checking account to auto loan.”
See what I mean?
Once it’s written down, you can see what makes sense (or not), and write a different to-do list that gets you closer to your best life ever.
We, at Oola, refer to your (different) lists as “Oranges & Skittles”.
Oranges get you closer to your OolaLife.
Skittles? Well....Skittles are all the other tasks that need to get done.
Oranges are a priority in Oola.
As a Certified Oola Life Coach, I help clients determine their OolaOne goal and then prioritize their daily tasks to be sure steps (Oranges) are being taken every day to reach that goal, and—most importantly—stay accountable to accomplishing those steps week after week.
You may already know that I am passionate about equipping, empowering and supporting others to create a healthy, energetic, more balanced life with less stress, more happiness and greater purpose – one choice at a time.
In fact, I’ve joined forces with Dave and Troy to bring my followers the Oola formula via a 10-week coaching experience designed to transform your life, your finances, your relationships and more.

I’m here to help 2021 be a breakthrough year for you!
If you could change one thing about your life today - that would positively influence all your tomorrows -what would it be?
Have you thought about it?
Would it be:
• Getting fit and healthy so you can keep up with your kids (or grandkids) and really enjoy life for the first time in years?
• Moving on from a toxic workplace to a fulfilling job you’re passionate about?
• Reaching your first $100,000 in a retirement account?
• Paying off your credit card debts or student loans?
• Some other goal?
For the next few weeks, I’d like to challenge you to choose, then tackle, the one thing you know in your heart that you must do to impact every aspect of your life.
The concept of one breakthrough goal is something I learned from The OolaGuys – Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl, authors of Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World.
With so many stress points in life, they say, our lives can get out of balance.
But narrowing our focus to our “OolaOne” – the one single goal we know we must achieve – can change our lives for the better (often permanently).
Not only does it calm the chaos, it puts us together with new people, gives us new skills, and so much more. We get smarter, more confident, better connected, more loving, more generous, less stressed—qualities that enable us to truly live our unique purpose on this planet.
We can never go back to who we were because we become someone different in the process of pursuing our OolaOne.
Are you up for that kind of life change in 2021?
Permanent change is what the Oola lifestyle taught me, and it’s what I help others do as an Oola Life Coach.
START TODAY: Make a list of 7 goals – Then choose YOUR OolaOne.
So, what would you change in “The 7 F’s of Oola” (life areas below)?
Choose seven goals in the following areas, then narrow it to just ONE thing that would change your life.
Fitness • Finance • Family • Field • Faith • Friends • Fun
When you’ve decided, drop a comment below and share your OolaOne goal (unless it’s private).
In my next post, I’ll give you a strategy for tackling the daily steps to achieve your OolaOne.
Stay tuned! It will be a life-changing post that transforms the way you focus in 2021.

I’m here to help 2021 be a breakthrough year for you!
Let’s face it…by almost every measure, 2020 wasn’t a whole lot of fun.
Aside from the need to plan ahead and be careful, we had to master weird new buzzwords like “social distancing”, “flatten the curve”, and (my least favorite) “new normal”.
Plus, there was an underlying apprehension that simply didn’t go away.
If fun was on your agenda for 2020, but it got derailed, you can still make plans to inject fun into your life in 2021.
For instance:
• If you’re working at home, create a fun reward for meeting project deadlines like going for a walk in nature or a "Zoom" date with friends.
• Research new kinds of safe weekend getaways like a cool Airbnb rental at the beach
• Sign up for an online class and study a subject you’ve always wanted to learn
• Start that travel fund toward a week (or 3) in a beautiful, tropical location for when the world opens up safely again.
You know..."Fun" is a necessary part of life!
In fact, it’s one of “The 7 F’s of Oola” that I learned from Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl, bestselling authors of the Oola book series on finding balance in an unbalanced world.
If recent events have caused you to re-think your lifestyle, your finances, your health, your relationships and your future, we should jump on a call to discuss exactly what you want in 2021.
As a Certified Oola Life Coach, it’s what I help clients with, and it would be my honor to work with you, too.
Message me and let’s schedule some time to chat soon. Or, schedule your complimentary discovery call with me here.

Are you ready to have fun again in 2021 while reaching for growth in the major areas of your life?
I’m here to help 2021 be a breakthrough year for you!
I don’t think I could have made it through 2020 without my friends.
Between holding Zoom meetings and Facebook posting, friends brought a sense of normalcy, stability and support to a very weird year.
How did you do?
Did 2020 motivate you to get closer to friends or did you drift further apart?
If you made goals to get together with friends more often in 2020 – but those meetups just weren’t possible – it’s time to rededicate yourself to your friendships in the coming year.
Reconnect with those that have fallen off your radar and remind them that you care.
You may also want to carefully consider which friends show up as no friend ever should: toxic, needy, envious or just too busy to know what’s going on in your world.
It may be time to employ the Oola strategy: "Unfriend, Unfollow, Delete".
Instead of wrapping one more present this holiday season, why not wrap up your backlist of catch-up calls with friends instead?
Close and supportive friendships are part of living a life of more balance, less stress, and greater purpose.
They help us navigate life’s ups and downs.
So how else can you prepare to survive life’s ups and downs in 2021?
That’s easy: work on finding balance in every area by joining me for the 10-week Oola Coaching Program.
As a Certified Oola Life Coach, I’m here to help. Together, we can make sure you have a plan and stay disciplined with new habits and behaviors that propel you toward your goals.
As I’ve mentioned before, the Oola Coaching Program is designed to support you in making massive progress in just 10 weeks. I’d be honored to privately coach you through the process.

I’m here to help 2021 be a breakthrough year for you!
This December, more than any other year, we’re reminded of the importance of faith.
As the world in 2020 stumbled through one crisis after another, did you set some personal goals these year for strengthening your faith walk?
For instance, had you planned to start a daily/weekly Bible study or join an online small group or get connected to a faith community for the first time in years?
If you didn’t quite get around to these goals, there’s still time before the end of the year.
Of course, I’m not here to tell you what your faith life should look like—it’s up to you to make those choices.
But I do know that faith – a connection to that which is greater than yourself - is an integral part of living a life that’s balanced, happy and growing.
I've known that for all of my adult life.
And, it was reinforced by international bestselling authors Dave Braun and Troy Amdahl in their book, Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World.
Finding balance in the key areas of life - we call them “The 7 F’s of Oola” – Fitness, Finance, Family, Field (career), Faith, Friends and Fun – is their unique approach to living the life you want.
Listen…if you need to wrap up some loose ends before 2020 is over, so you can roll into 2021 ready to crush it in every area, I can help.
As a Certified Oola Life Coach, I’ve joined forces with Dave and Troy to bring you the 10-week Oola Coaching Program.
Whether you want a more fulfilling career, a stronger-than-ever marriage, better finances, vibrant good health . . . or something else, I’d like to invite you to chat about how coaching works and what it can do for you.
Message me and we can jump on a 30-minute call to discuss it. Or schedule your complimentary discovery call with me here.

It only takes 10 weeks to make massive progress.

I’m here to help 2021 be a breakthrough year for you!
